Glass and topaz are different in gloss and polarization. Topaz is a natural crystal with good heat transfer, so it has a cold feeling, while glass is "warm". Under magnified conditions, topaz sometimes sees a gas-liquid inclusion composed of mutually incompatible liquids, and the glass often contains spherical bubbles, which can be used as supporting evidence.
