Before that, he spent five years studying at the Medical College of Zhengzhou University and spent nearly a decade at the local health bureau.

All this belongs only to Wu Hongliang in the past. Now, Wu Hongliang in Kunshan is a "master" shoemaker who not only does it but also says. Today, Wu Hongliang has opened five shoe shops in Beimen Road, Jijie Street, Hongfeng New Village, Chunhui Road and Xinkun Street. The date goes back to May 2005. At that time, the unit was on holiday, and Wu Hongliang, who was idle, came to Kunming to visit his younger brother who was doing business in Kunming. After a week in Kunshan, Wu Hongliang finally realized that he could not turn back. His life in Kunshan must begin again. Wu Hongliang made a decision that the entire family was shocked by. He stopped returning to work and left the company on duty to stay awake in Kunshan.

He said that after more than a week of understanding, he discovered that many foreigners who came to Kunming have realized their dreams here. I Wu Hongliang certainly has a place. Wu Hongliang knows that entrepreneurship is not easy, and foreigners like him who have neither capital nor connections are even more difficult. A month later, when he returned from training, he opened his shoe shop on the north gate of Chengbei.

Since it was summer, the cobbler shop had an off-season as soon as it opened, and few customers visited it one day. However, Wu Hongliang did not worry about this. He knows that entrepreneurship is a long-term process. So, he turned the unfavorable factors into favorable ones and used this off-season to consolidate what he learned.

In order to study the characteristics of various shoes, Wu Hongliang took his shoes apart, repaired and demolished. "Never let the customer think of me as a shoemaker on the street." He said, "Be sure to be professional and be the first brand."

Sure enough, when the time went into October, when the business got better, Wu Hongliang's craftsmanship was already a master teacher. At a glance, he can distinguish the texture and variety of leather shoes, but repairs and maintains the leather shoes targeted to customers. At the same time, we do not forget to introduce customers to the usual wear and maintenance of shoes. “This will allow customers to avoid damage to their shoes because of improper maintenance.” He said that customers’ shoes are now very expensive, ranging from a few hundred dollars to over a thousand dollars. However, customers generally lack maintenance knowledge and many shoes are damaged due to improper maintenance.

“Going to college is actually a process of life, not a goal. Wu Hongliang admits that sometimes his thoughts on his own identity and the contrast between the cobbler and the shoemaker flashed a glimmer of thoughts. However, each time he saw the customer’s satisfaction and went to visit his own family’s shop, this idea suddenly disappeared. Only a sense of accomplishment.

"Although the cobbler and the profession I have learned do not touch the edge, in fact, university life still plays a role in promoting my current business," Wu Hongliang explained. He said that in this short period of two years, this kind of achievement can be attributed to five years of university life. University life has deepened his understanding of society, his understanding of the outlook on life and values, and so on, all of which have played a subtle and impetus role in entrepreneurship.

For example, although he is an affiliate, he has developed a set of management methods for the actual situation in Kunshan. In particular, it is reflected in the pricing. Each store has different pricing due to its different geographical location and different levels of consumption of surrounding residents. At the same time, he also launched a membership system, the public can become his member only 100 yuan. "I think if I don't have a college experience, I may not have such a flexible way of doing business." Wu Hongliang said.

What makes him most happy is that the customer trusts him. He said: "This kind of trust has never been experienced before." Now, he also received his wife and daughter from Kunshan.
