Recently, the T/R polyester fabric market at China Textile City in Shaoxing has remained relatively stable over the past few days, but overall trading activity has continued to decline. Most products are being sold in small, intermittent batches, and transaction volumes have been weak. In recent days, there has still been some trading volume for gray and dyed fabrics, mainly woven and knitted textiles, including gray cloth, yarn-dyed fabrics, and various types of blended fabrics made from T/R polyester and viscose blends.
However, many fabric traders have been closing their shops or operating with reduced hours for several days now. Despite this, the price of gray cloth has continued to rise, increasing by another 0.20 yuan per meter in the last few days. Some fabrics have seen a total increase of up to 0.50 yuan per meter over just a few days.
In the recent market, transactions for finished T/R polyester fabrics have been limited to small, sporadic orders. Only a few major professional buyers have placed larger orders recently. Some thicker, medium-weight conventional fabrics like "serge," "Gong Si Jin," and "wire silk" are being purchased in small quantities by existing customers, while some stocks remain unsold and are being promoted through partial sales. Super-seasonal thin fabrics are still receiving occasional orders, and new varieties of T/R uniforms and jackets, as well as casual wear, are seeing limited transactions. However, the order sizes have been decreasing.
Additionally, some spring-ready T/R long fabrics have seen steady price increases. Certain high-demand fabrics are experiencing further price hikes due to processing difficulties, making them even more expensive. Overall, the market remains sluggish, with only scattered transactions taking place.
