made for kids month wrap-up

It’s always great to see how much fun people have when they dive into sewing projects, especially those designed with kids in mind. Last month's Made for Kids Month in June was no exception! While we shared a recap midway through, there were still plenty of incredible creations popping up in the Made for Kids Month Flickr group that deserve a spotlight. Let’s start with _sarah_b_, who crafted this charming Garden Party Dress from some beautiful Lisette floral sateen fabric. It’s the kind of outfit that looks perfect for a sunny afternoon picnic or playdate! ![](src="" alt="Garden Party Dress") Next up, we have Amanda’s delightful Jump Rope Dress. The design is playful yet practical, making it ideal for active little ones who love running around and having fun. ![](src="" alt="Jump Rope Dress") Then there’s Ren, who created this sweet Ruffled Halter. The attention to detail really makes this piece stand out—perfect for adding a touch of elegance to any outfit. ![](src="" alt="Ruffled Halter") Finally, we can’t forget Janice’s custom School Bus T-shirt. It’s such a fun and unique take on a classic design, sure to bring smiles wherever it goes. ![](src="" alt="School Bus T-shirt") A huge thank you goes out to Rae for helping co-host this event. And of course, massive gratitude to all of you who encouraged your kids to rock handmade clothes last month. It’s inspiring to see so many creative projects come to life! Looking ahead, what do you think? Should we make this an annual tradition? If anyone has put together a roundup or a photo mosaic from their own creations during the month, feel free to share the link in the comments below. Let’s keep the inspiration flowing! Bump Cap

A bump cap is a type of head protection gear that is designed to protect the wearer from minor head injuries caused by bumping into low-hanging objects or hitting the head against hard surfaces. Unlike traditional hard hats, bump caps are made of lightweight materials such as plastic or foam and are designed to be worn in low-risk environments such as warehouses, factories, and construction sites. They are also commonly used in industries such as automotive, food processing, and maintenance. Bump caps are not intended to provide protection against falling objects or high-impact collisions and should not be used as a substitute for hard hats in high-risk environments.
