Long-staple cotton?
Long-staple cotton is named for its long fiber, also known as sea-island cotton. It is a cultivated cotton species, Malvaceae cotton. Long-staple cotton has a long growth period and requires a large amount of heat. In the case of the same heat conditions, the growth period of long-staple cotton is 10-15 days longer than that of upland cotton.

Mainly Egypt, Sudan, the former Soviet Union, the United States, Morocco, etc.

The eastern part of Hebei Province, the western part of Shandong Province, the Turpan Basin of Xinjiang, the Aksu, Bayin Guotun, and Kashgar in the Tarim Basin.
Features:
Long-staple cotton is of good quality, its fiber is long, generally 33 ~ 39 mm, up to 64 mm; fineness is 7000 ~ 8500 m / g, width 15 ~ 16 microns; high strength, 4 ~ 5 grams Force / root, the length of the break is 33 to 40 kilometers; the number of turns is more, 80 to 120 / cm.
There are some hybrids that use island cotton as the male parent and upland cotton as the female parent. The fiber is longer, but the fineness and strength are not up to the index of sea-island cotton. It is commonly known as terrestrial long-staple cotton.
